Product Information
MARINE GRADE ANTI-SEIZE is a nonconductive, nonmetallic blend of anti-friction materials specially formulated for to meet the new requirements for marine and offshore environments. MARINE GRADE ANTI-SEIZE falls within the range of environmentally preferable lubricants for use as a best management practice (BMP) by operators of vessels covered under the Vessel General Permit for Discharges Incidental to the Normal Operation of Vessels (VGP). MARINE GRADE ANTI-SEIZE meets the requirements for environmentally acceptable lubricant (EAL) as used to describe those lubricants which have been demonstrated to meet standards for biodegradability, toxicity and bioaccumulation potential that minimize their likely adverse consequences in the aquatic environment when compared to conventional lubricants. MARINE GRADE ANTI-SEIZE is OSPAR compliant, registered by both CEFAS in the UK and KPD/SFT in Norway. As well as NSF 61 certified. The non-metallic anti-seize boundary lubricants were specifically selected to reduce the potential for galvanic corrosion and protect sensitive or galling prone alloys such as chrome and Inconel. These fill the voids and imperfections on the surface shielding sliding components from interference making assembly and disassembly easy without damage to the nut or bolt.
