JET-LUBE’s PITLESS ADAPTER LUBE is specifically formulated aerosol product to aid in the assembly and preservation of pitless adapters in water well casing applications. It incorporates USDA H-1 food grade anti-seize technology with elastomer preservation technology. JET-LUBE’s PITLESS ADAPTER LUBE is formulated with a unique blend of mixed synthetics and white oil thickened with a food grade aluminum complex soap. The aluminum complex soap provides the highest level of water resistance with thermal stability. The blend of USDA H-1 fluids where carefully balanced to provide a wide range of elastomer compatibility and lubricity. The antibacterial/anti-fungal additive further extends life of the lubricant and reduces the potential for contamination. The aerosol package of PITLESS ADAPTER LUBE is designed to provide a handy means to apply the lube in hard to reach angles. Product cleanliness and integrity is maintained for applications where contamination must be avoided. The spray pattern was selected to lay down just the right amount of product in a single spray pass. In the past, drillers have had to use cooking oil, Vaseline, lard or other similar materials to aid in adapter assembly. Over time, however, these materials are leached from the assembly allowing corrosion to ingress making subsequent disassembly more difficult. PITLESS ADAPTER LUBE’s aluminum complex is highly resistant to water so leaching becomes minimized. In addition to the base technology, JET-LUBE’s PITLESS ADAPTER LUBE incorporates PTFE and other natural food grade boundary lubricants to provide anti-seize technology to the problem. In the event the base fluids are leached away, biodegraded, or absorbed into the elastomer, the PTFE and other lubricants remain between the elastomer/metal seal to make disassembly a much easier task. The micro-sized particles were selected so that the primary elastomer seal is not disrupted and a water tight seal is maintained.
