Product Information
JET-LUBE SEAL-GUARDTM represents the next generation in thread compound technology and design, just as pipe materials and connections are engireed for specific applications and field service requirements, so must thread compounds be formulated to meet critical performance requirements. The thread compound must be tailored to the connection design, material (alloy), operating conditions, and environmental and occupational health restrictions. JET-LUBE SEAL-GUARDTM has been specifically formulated to meet the performance requirements of proprietary, metal-to-metal seal, and high interference connection designs utilizing today’s high performance materials including “super” chrome and high alloy steels. The formulation uses a tightly controlled small particle size distribution and may not provide optimum sealability on buttress thread forms. JET-LUBE SEAL-GUARDTM has been formulated using an advanced base grease and additive technology (CZ-EX PLUS) with enhanced high and low strength polymers and innovative solid lubricants. The result is superior lubrication under high loads with galling resistance equivalent to heavy metal based compounds in a totally metal free formulation. This cutting edge technology provides a high affinity to metal surfaces with a relatively low added solids content. This formula has a large percentage of submicron particles that create a film which gives consistent frictional performance without restricting proper engagement of the connection
Features
- Environmentally Safe and Metal Free
- Small Particle Solids to Accommodate Premium Connection Design Requirements
- Frictional Properties Consistent With API MODIFIED
- High Film Strenght Protects Against Galling
- Ideal for High Chrome Connections
- H2S Inhibited
- Sticks to Wet or Oily Threads
- Provides 6 to 9 Months Storage Protection on Properly Prepared Connections
- Conforms to or exceepds the requirements for API RP5A3/ISO 13678 specification.
